about me

A 19 year old lover of photography, art, nature, life. Living in rural England, UK.

I find inspiration in structure, design, light and texture. In particular, I’m inspired by the work of Ansel Adams (photographer) and Angie Lewin (printmaker) for their fascination with the natural form and the structures contained within. However I don’t stick particularly closely to any single artist – I hope to leave my mind open to be inspired by anything I come across.

Currently I mainly work with digital photography and film photography. I also use instant photography and Lomography for fun! As regards traditional art, I’m rediscovering acrylic painting and charcoal drawing from my days studying art and design at college.

It took me a long time to get used to using a sketchbook in college as a way to recieve feedback on my work, but I got to love the process in the end! Having one place to put my inspirations, ideas, experiments and developments became really important to me. Hopefully in my blog, I’ll be able to recreate that wonderful sense of development and discovery, in my work and my world.

Come along for the ride!
